18th World Congress on Parasitic Plants

São Sebastião - Brazil May 31st - June 6th - Ma

This is an international congress (WCPP) in ots 18th edition, that gathers scientists from all over the world to present their works, debate opinions and share experiences about parasitic plants (PP). Will be presented more than 100 original works and reviews on the basic biology of PP and their interaction with other organisms, especially crops and trees. All aspects of PP biology are covered, since general biology such as flowering and pollination, population ecology, water stealing and interactions with hosts and fungi, as well as very specific details of molecular biology, gene functioning and biochemical pathways. Everybody together to better understand these magnificent plants, that represent more than 4% of world flora, with a marvelous form diversity but also that cause important economic losses in crops, timber production and deplete economy in poor countries.
